Long, Long Time...

Sry, Sry, Sry, Sry,Sry, Sry,Sry, Sry, Sry, Sry... Yeah its been almost 5 MTHS! since my last post!! Very sry, coz very busy coz of vball and everyting... 2009 has been a bad year for me, many sad suff happened, bt a few great stuff happened too!:) Sad stuff, sry cnt say... but gd things muz be shared wif everyone^^. This year has been very successful for me in cca, bt nt in academics... Start of yr, We were BZ preparing North Zone Vball competition. So i was slacking thruout the 1st mth, failing a coupl of test XP. Yeah an the NZ competition was tough and everyting, and it was really an uphill battle for us, bt we still gt champs for the 15th consecutive time^^*Applause*haha...

Then 1 wk ltr was Nt'ls!!! lots of pressure, playing agnst top teams from all over the nation. The 1st round was okay, nth specific to note. in the 2nd rnd(quarter finals), we were grp wif Anderson, Shuqun, Cat High. Tough grp! bt managed to pull thru winning all and topping the grp^^ Ya we won AND in the NZ and Nt'ls!! WOOTS!! Sweet revenge, after they kik us out in minicup:) Ps ar Seng Leong, nt trying to imply anth though. Bt they are a strong team, playing with them is always diff. The semis was 1 to note. We were playing best of 5 with east zone champs VS( victoria school). We lost the 1st 2 sets, which was a huge blow to our title hopes... One set & we're out... Bt we manage to pull ourselves tgt and win the last 3 sets!! which was an unbelievable feat! This gave us a boost in confidence, as we face SouthZon Champ Fairfield Methodist in the finals. After a hard fought battle, we won the game 3-1. The last time Xinmin won the C'div title was 8 yrs ago. I was extremely happy after the win and was lyk "pinch me, pinch me, is this true??!!" The feeling after the win was truly immense and coach was very happy too!^^ For more info, pics and video of the finals go to this website-

For a person whu has never pass NAPFA b4, Im doing extremely well this yr^^. passing all of the test except for sit up and shuttle that i haven take. special highlights are lyk standing broad jump. I jumped 189cm this yr, when i only managed 150cm+ last yr. For 2.4km, i thought i did well, running 12mins, with my last yr's record at 15-17mins! See, I knew i could do it if i believe in myself!! Yeah, Vball helped me ALOT too:)

Mid Years are in a week's time, and I'm still losing out on alot, muz chiongg!!! JYJY EVERYONE!!!:) All tha best

Tcher Angela's Chalet

HI PPL!!^^ De hols has been borin for me... Oni Volleyball and Soccer has kept me occupied thruout this hols... Anyway, i went to a chalet last wk, it was like organised by myex-tuition tcher and lyk was dam shiok la! I stayed overnite along wif Xian Wei and YaoZhong. De chalet was lyk a terrace la!!DAM big!! If im nt wrong, it was Aloha, 1st time i went to such a chalet wif rooms. Considerin to hav nxt yrs class chalet dere. HEHE. Back to de point, ya, we stayed overnite, played monopoly thruout the whole nite/day.Sooo tired... Den Yaozhong, me and anth "junior" went swimming at lyk 7am in de morning, HAHA! shiok! Den while we were playin, Yaozhong drop his specs into de water... *careless* Den wen he took it out, both lenses were GONE!! Hewas lyk KPKB-ing lyk crazy... Suddenly i stepped on his lense and was shoutin,

me : I stepped on it!! Wait, I lost it..

Zhong: Wad de F***K la! U CB!! Go DIE LA!! *pointin middle finger*

me: Shuddup!! i stepped on it agn!!(seriously)

Zhong: Quik take it up la!!!!

me: *While going into de water and takin it, it slipped away from my hands* Shyt i lost i t agn...

Zhong: *fed up face* U knnbcjb la!!

I know, I know... It has been a LONG~~ LONG~~ TIME, since I last blogged, bt cnt blame me la... I was very busy due to U-13 Volleball Championship. AND it ENDED today... Sadly, we only gt 3rd place *SAD*. Coz we lost to Anderson on de Semi-finals, bt i muz say tt it was a gd game, and I was nt sad that we lost, coz we did our best. Bt we still under-performed on that day. HAIZ... So this was de placin for de U-13:

So overall, de whole Tournament was successful, bt i feel tt the referees of the competition, are nt veh gd... coz dey quite "KAYU"(gong gong). And de Hougang Sports Hall ventilation is lyk KNS... Bt the location of the finals and 3rd match placin, Choa Chu Kang, quite gd. For de XM C'boys, we feel tt we under perform in the 2nd stge of de comptition, wif losts to Anderson and Chung Cheng High (Yishun). Bt 3rd is better dan nth la... Actually i feel tt we cld hav gotten champs, if nt for the lost to Chung Cheng High Yishun. That match realli SHATTERED our morale, altho we manage to "glue" some back on the way, it was'nt fast enuff, and we lost to Anderson... Luckily, we managed to beat Yishun Town and gt 3rd.

For the C'girls they were great thruout and were very consistent. Its a pity that they cld'nt make it into the 1st and 2nd placin match. By still, Gd Job C'Girls!!^^

And de coach said himself, he realli regretted playingde players in, bt since it was a frenly he put them in for experience. And why dun the 2 of u put ur real names? Hav de guts to say such SHYT dun dare put name ar? From now onwards, i wun allow any anonymous or passerby's. If u dare tok,u better dare put ur name!

This week was long and tiring, mostly due to v.ball, causin me nt havin enuff time to blog, so psps! So, this post will be coverin de whole week.

Monday & Wednesday
Trainin for Friday's match against Catholic High. Nt much physical or fitness bt more on strategy nd tactics, bt still as tiring as usual. Trainin was from 8-1.30. Actually, 12 shld end leh, bt coach wanted to train more, so we stayed longer. This time, we trained wad to do durin "important" times. So, we had de main 6 vs de oders. The main 6 played a new formation which was Hk as center and james as main spike. So i paired up with jasper, and Hk paired up with james. Coach started de game at 22-22, so that we will bw more cautious, and nt so laxed. Actually, de real motive is to tell giggs, setter, to set to de most consistent players to spike, which was HK and Jasper. At first Giggs dint noe de imptance of the practise, bt after tio scolded by coach many times, he finally understood. After trainin, had lunch with v.ball teammates and reached home home at 3pm. When we were eatin, we were obviously tokin bout v.ball too. We were at that time, tokin bout wad Mr Loo(IC) told us . We were told off by our teachers in charge(ICs) that we were too slack durin trainin have to work way harder if we want to become champions. He told us tt we are one of the most promisin batch, bt oso 1 wif de lousiest fitness. He said tt if evryting goes on smoothly, we shld get into de top 4, bt our aim is CHAMP. Xm has a tradition of getin into de top 4 in all competitions. For de past 13 yrs, we have been North Zone champs and top 4 in N'tls both B and C div, bt last year, although we continued our proud tradition of bein champs in North zone for both div, we did nt gt into de top 4in the Nt'ls in both div too. The coaches and ICs were veh sad and frustrated, so they dedicated lots of affoert on our batch, hopin that we can become N'tl champs once again!( de last time we won was 3 yrs ago) So the amount of pressure placed on us is immense!! Bt seein our recent performances, the coaches andICs belive that we can go all the way and become champs in Under-13, North Zone and N'tls. Although the pressure is immense, the whole team belive we can LIVE UP TO IT. And to do that, We muz train FREAKIN hard to attain it!. We are a team with skill, motivation, drive, attitude AND a BELIEF that we can win. XM C'boys we are a well oiled machine that is ready for battle so let's go all de way!

Tuesday & Thurs
All I can say is SIAN!!! I juz reallise that I have more things to cope in this busy month... First, is obviously de Under-13 Competition, Second is de holiday homework. NOW its chinese symposium... FYI, chinese sympsium is an event held by my school to let the students become EMCEEs or HOSTs. There will be like many topics bout teenagers and for every topic, there will be a classroom for that discussion, and de Xm students will have to become hosts and like host the whole discussion la... Den on de trainin on Tues, we heard de trainers tok alot of rubbish and then ask us to write a script. Diaozzz..... i was like "gong gong" hear dem tok den they ask us write a SCRIPT! I was like OMG, WTH!! Bt no choice, whu ask Ms Phan ask me to go... Actually i could have reject, coz i gt v.ball bt I Hao Lian la... gave into peer pressure.. and said i could continue... Haiz.. regrets... Then i was grouped wif Lionel, Marcus, Daphne, Vivien and Jiahui. LOL! The 101 grp... So, we decided to go to viven's hse on thurs to discuss. On thurs, Lionel and i decided to go earlier and have breakfast at Burger King. At 10.30 sharp( really very sharp), Daphne reached. i was like lookin at my watch and wen i saw the time reach 10:30:00, i looked up and saw Daphne at the entrance of BK. LOL! she was like seriously accurate man! OMG!. After awile, Jiahui came. And obviously, Vivien was de last, 12mins late... Marcus... could nt make it.... De discussion was more of a chat dan discussion. First, we "wowed" vivien's hse and den, we were tokin bout listenin to music... jokin all de way... den i went take a drink den evryone folo... many many more funny stuff happened, to many to write it here... HAHA! always makes me laugh wen i tink of it. Then, Lionel was de first to go... He said his grandma's hse dunno wad ceiling break, explode or someth and he want to go see...evryone was like =.="... Tinkin " wad does tt gotta do wif u?" He gave us de bitchy look and ran out... after that HK phoned me and asked me to go bowling, I wanted to go, bt Daphne said I muz finish de mayflower thing dan can go... I chiong finish it and dashed to kovan for bowlin. Justin, Giggs, Jasper and obviously HK as dere. Some 102 girls were dere too... I was a freakin noob in Bowlin, de first time i played, out of 20 throws, i oni gt 7 points, that was freakin points, considerin de maximum point is around 200+... Bt this time, it was much better, i gt around 50+ points which was considered average la... nt bad already la... den I wwaited at Kovan for my parents and had dinner dere.

Friday
Yes the day I've been waitin for since the start of the week! Our frenly match agnst CATHOLIC HIGH! I heard their dam pro, considerin they have been East(or West) Zone champs for quite a couple of times already. they have quite a reputation in de N'tls too. So I was awaitin for a challengin match. Wen I reached de Sorts Hall, I saw oni 3 Xm v.ballers and de whole Cat Hi team... =.=" Slowly, de oders came. Finally it started! Dey were quite a team, havin many tall a nd fit players. Bt In de end, de Score was 5 sets to NIL. We won 5 sets to NIL!!! I could nt believe it!!! Although de scoreline seems to be a great margin, bt actually it was quite a close battle. Let me show u de score for every set: 25-18, 25-23, 25-20,25-21 and 28-26.
So actually, it was an extrmely close match!! bt the last mtch was de most interesting. me and HK both did nt play durin de last match, coz coach wanted us to rest, as we both played thruout the first 4 sets. De match was like a roller-coaster ride. We were like losin 18-24 , yes, i dint type wrongly, its 18-24. Most of us thought that it was over, cat hi's gonna win it. Bt on tt surf, the cat hi player surfed into the net!!! i was like OMG!!! hw can he surf into the net at such and impt moment!!!??? IF it was 1 one f our players, tt guy will surely get the "Coach Ang TREATMENT"!! and u wun wanna noe wad is it... Anyway, it was den turned into our surf, and giggs had de IMPT job of servin de ball. and he ,surprisinly, served all over and we won de game after a hard battle! i really could nt believe it man, makin such a comeback is like crazy!! It really took lots of SKILL, and a HELL LOT of LUCK to win in this kind of condition... So we continued de winning streak, winning all frenlies, winning a total of 24 sets and losin 2 sets! the 2 sets shld really nt be lost... We lost both of those sets to Dunman. Coz we were winnin 4 sets to NIL le, and coach put in all de lousy players into play, since we already won... bt he dint expect us to lose la... bt after that, he did nt dare to put them in anymore. Lesson learnt Mr Ang(my coach's name).

Sunday
De first official match for us! Agnst Chong Boon... Shld be easy la... And it was, coz we won both sets str8, 25-16 and 25-13. Nth special happened la... bt the crazy thing was tt my mum, grandfather, maid, Yao Zhong and Hui Jun went to "support" me... I was like so damn embarrassed... Overall, it was a gd day, gd match, gd atmosphere and a GREAT start to our first competition! De Xm C'boys have taken their first step in deir attempt to be the 2008 Under-13 Volleyball Championship! Hope we can go all the way!

Sry guys, I was really a jerk

What an eventful week... Haiz... More of a sad one dan a happy one... First, sprain my ankle during V.ball trainin on fri , really hurt like crazy. It happened when we were practicing blockin and raymond was like jumpin around like crazy den accidentally his leg like dunno how stick out then i stepped over and fell. Coach scolded him, coz it was near de competition period, and he did nt want anyone to be injured. bt i dint blame him la coz nt totally his fault mah... With help from my frens, i staggered towards the nearest bench. I started tinkin of de last time i injured myself. it was durin de June hols my ankle hurt so much tt i struggled to even walk home. that injury kept me out of trainin for 3 weeks. And if the same ting happen agn, i wun be able to play in de mini cup, which will be such a waste! Wad made me worry more was it was de same leg. Bt after days of rest, i felt much better, and i mite recover before de frenly agnst Catholic High on Fri, 1-4pm

Very Sry Guys, I was such a Jerk

Today, QY msn-ed me and started tokn to me. From the start, i knew something was nt rite, coz de last time we chat, it wasn't tt gd, this time wasn't too... She started off telling me hw hao lian i was after winning teams in V.ball. She said someting about "Winning, bt nt knowing wad winning was all about." at first, i was veh stubborn, denyin tt i was BhB , hao lian or anyting, and did nt understand wad de phrase was all about. (Seriously cheemified by her...) Then, i thought about it, seriously, thought about it. And about the pm i wrote on MSN.(I was seriously forced to say dose things on MSN)And the comments I said to Seng Leong. I realised wad a F***KIN jerk i was... Maybe its too late, bt I'm still veh sry of wad i said and did... I was too engrossed in Xm V.Ball tt i negletted others feelings... It was my first time representing my school in someting and I was veh excited, TOO excited, that i became cocky... I was juz proud of my V.ball team and nt myself. QY, I dint, chnge at all, I juz went overboard, crossed the line way too much. I hereby apologise to all that I've offended and hope tt U will forgive me, even if u dun, its okay, I'm still very sry. And Qy, thx for enlightening me on dis, thx a lot, u made me realise wad a Bastard I was. Seng Leong, I'm EXTREMELY sry for wad i said to u. I earnestly look forward to playin wif u on a v.ball court soon.

My understandin of "Winning, bt nt knowing wad winning was all about" : I tink it means tt winning is nt all about haolian-ing it, bt really treasure de win and keeping it to urself. ^^

Wow! today's training was crazy! Reach school at 8pm and only saw 2 ppl there, so started spiking on the wall and tried to improve my service so that it will like juz go over the net. Still not perect yet bt almost there. Soon after, coach and the other's came. After warming up and stretching, it was straight to fitness. I almost died man! Did the weight lifting 80 times sia, 20kg leh... then went to jumping jumped like siao la. Den do one to one blocking. Block so many rounds that i lost count la. Coach was very disappointed with our blocking durin last friday's frenly so focusing on that now.
Wah today my spiking totally "OFF". i keep hittin de wrong part of my hand la... tio scolded like hell.... Then i started to "put" ball . Heehee! Haiz... feel that we shld improve in our fitness la... Tink there will be another frenly before our first match agnst Chong Boon. Frenly de opponent shld be Catholic high ba.. Quite scared la, coz they shld be quite a strong team... Bt we can DO IT!!

Anyway, our first match of the mini cup is agnst Chong Boon Sec on 9th sep at Hougang Sports Complex. Time for gt liao, will update once i confirm.

Finally A New Blog

Hi! Well, I noe i am notorious for dead blog, due to my last blog. Bt This time, I wll try to make it stay alive for as long as possible. The last time, i DELETED my blog coz i have not time to manage it, bt now, since its d hols, i'll have time to manage it. So hope all of u out there will forgive me and I'll strive to make this blog last as long as possible. ^^

For my last blog, my theme was Soccer, but this time round it's Volleyball and Soccer!

At first, when i was chosen for this CCA, i thought it'll be de worst decision of my life, bt now i feel it was the best decision I've ever made! just within months of trainin, i fell in love for this sport. Yao Zhong say it was a Sport for gays, actually it's nt as "sissy" as u guys think, in fact it's quite a rough sport. It just seems too elegant for a MAN sport.

The best thing about V.ball is definitely SPIKIN! U can BLAST the ball like nobody's business and at the same time destroy ur opponents! Isn't that great? (A little sadistic too la...)

At first, i was one of the lousiest players. I was one of those whu were tipped to nt even make it into the main 12. That was one of the lowest point in my sec school life. Then i realise i shld nt dwell on it and shld work harder to earn a place in the team. After much hard work, i finally improve and for May to August, I improved immensely. Coach saw my improvement and told me that i mite be able to play in the main 6, and i did! I was elated. bt i wasn't complacent, and kept on goin. The whole team worked hard for our goal!- to be the best team, and worked extremely hard durin every trainin. When frenly came, we fought our hearts out and did our very best in every single set. And after so many frenlies, we have not lost a single match.

I hope i can shut all the critics out there sayin we are hao lian. We have a great attitude towards our game and these wins are hard earn by. We strive to bring success to Xinmin Secondary and to do that we must win. And for all the V.ball teams out there, gd luck in ur preparation for the upcomin under-13 mini cup. Watch out for us- XINMIN!
